Zeiss-1000 telescope of the  Sanglokh International Astronomical Observatory of the Institute of Astrophysics of the NAST

The Sanglokh International Astronomical Observatory of the Institute of Astrophysics of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan is located on Mount Sanglokh in the Dangara district of the Khatlon region at an altitude of 2300 m above sea level. The observatory houses a Zeiss-1000 mirror telescope with a mirror diameter of 1 m, manufactured by the German company Carl Zeiss. The quality of images from this telescope is very close to those of telescopes with a mirror diameter of 2 m. The Sanglokh Observatory is considered one of the best in the world in terms of optical and astroclimatic indicators, for this reason, during the years of independence, the Zeiss-1000 telescope was restored and modernized. Now the telescope is controlled and observations are carried out using a PC and specialized software packages. The telescope is equipped with a modern digital CCD camera for astronomical observations, which increased the sensitivity of the receiver by 5 magnitudes. Currently, observations of various space objects are being carried out using the telescope.
