In the first half of 2026, by the decision of the General Assembly of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, nine distinguished scholars, researchers, and representatives of scientific institutions from foreign countries were elected as Foreign Members of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan.

In recognition of their outstanding contributions to the advancement of science, the strengthening of international scientific relations, the expansion of research cooperation, and the support of joint scientific initiatives, Yuan Daohong— Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of Nongfupuzi Development Group Co., Ltd., entrepreneur, scientist, and expert in information technology, artificial intelligence, and the digital economy; Elchin Nusrat oglu Khalilov — President of the Asian Academy of Sciences, Professor, Doctor of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences; Ding Yuzhou — Director of the Research Center for Digestive Diseases at Jichita College of the North China University of Technology, physician and researcher specializing in gastrointestinal diseases; Shavkat Abdullayevich Ayupov — President of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan; Sergey Vasilyevich Kharitonchik — Rector of the Belarusian National Technical University, together with other distinguished foreign scholars and specialists, were elected as Foreign Members of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan.

Their election as Foreign Members of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan reflects recognition of their outstanding scientific achievements and productive professional activities, while also demonstrating the growing prestige and international standing of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan.
